Sunday Snippets...

This is such a fun moment for me...WHY? Because I get to tell you about a brand new kind of Lollipop that you are sure to want...they are super DeLiCiOuS!!!

Drum roll please.....

Gracie Lollipop                                                                                           Ethan Lollipop

The Lollipops are a super cute line of little characters designed by Lori Boyd! They are now available through Claudia and Co. Stamps at DCRU. These cutie-patooties are in digital format and the cost is very, very reasonable at only $3.00 each.

You can find three others to choose from Avery, Langdon and Hannah.

What could go better with new images than a new set of beautifully designed papers? If you are in need of some gorgeous, vibrant papers for your summer projects than I'd like to point out the Lily Bee Designs now available at DCRU.

This vibrant sample of Lily Bee's Hello Sunshine DP would make a wonderful companion to any of the summer picture projects you may need to scrapbook. Think of the fantastic cards that could be created too. Know anyone graduating this spring? What about creating a set of thank you cards that they could send to all of those Aunts and Uncles who gave them money or gifts for their milestone acheivement.

This gorgeous Lovely DP  offers a softer side to summer...the pallette would make for a beautiful wedding album, shower invites, thank you notes, cheer cards, etc. I personally feel that my little Ella Lollipop digi will be finding a home on these beautiful pages very soon!

Imagine the possibilities! If you can, chances are DCRU has what you need to make it happen.

We also have the super fun new Scrappy Challenge at A Crafty Little Place. This challenge is for all of our scrapbookers or want-to-be scrapbookers. Mid-day Inspiration with October Afternoon

Okay, it isn't October, but here in Ohio with the cool rainy weather it sure is feeling like an October afternoon.  I have to tell you that this line from October Afternoon is becoming one of my favorites. These papers are so full of color, patterns and a homey welcoming kind of feeling. Its really hard to explain if you don't see them in person but I'll try to show you what I mean. Here are a few samples of what the Fly A Kite Line offers:

This fun patter is called Ice Cream. It reaminds me of a double wedding ring quilt.
Love all the colors in this and the fab patterns!

Another great pattern is this love Pic-nic Table print. Now, if any of you have ever had a family pic-nic and used those fantastic vinyl table clothes...I mean this is spot on...right?

Now this fun little print is called...Strawberry Jam...and boy is it jam packed with lots of personality! Who can resist big plump juicy red strawberries in the late spring and summer? Not me!

If you can't make up your mind about which of these would be best for your collections don't fret...Claudi has it all worked out for you...

A 6x6 sample pack for the incredibly low price of $2.25! No that is not a type-O...it really is only $2.25 and for that low, low price you get not one, not two, but...TEN sheets of 6x6 paper!

The sample below shows all of the patterns you will receive.

That includes: Ice Cream / Dandelion / Lemonade / Strawberry Jam / Pic-nic Table

If you were able to check out our Scrappy Challenge post from yesterday you may have notice my LO. If you didn't get to see it here it is again...

This was created with the FLY A KITE papers but it is only one side of the lay out.

Here is the other...

I just love the way this paper compliments itself with all the prints. Its a happy kind of paper and it makes me SMILE too.

GDT - Tricia Gorden

I was asked to be a guest designer for A Crafty Little Place (the new home of Die Cuts R Us) and provide a tutorial. This sounds like oodles of fun and it is a perfect time of the year to crank out some teacher gifts!

I decided that Seed Packet Cards would be perfect for Teachers and great to show my love for Spring, all things new, growth, etc.

1. Begin by printing out the seed packet template found HERE. Now this template was made for a seed packet measuring 4 1/2 inches high by 3 1/4 inches wide. You may have to adjust your dimensions but at least you have an idea of what I did.

2. Carefully cut out the template on cardstock. I used cardstock because it is thicker and provided a nice base to trace around.

3. Gather your supplies. For this project, I used Cherry Delicious Paper from Sassafrass. You can find this paper in the A Crafty Place store HERE at a terrific value. Double sided, thicker printed paper works better for this project.

4. After you have cut out the template, score the template on the dotted lines. I used my Scor Pal for this and made sure I really made crisp creases.

5. When you fold up the bottom edge, you can see that the seed pack gets a private little "pouch". I found that using the Glue Glider Pro permanent adhesive is PERFECT for the pouch. You can find that at the A Crafty Place store HERE.

6. It is now time to embellish the front of the card packet. I used my Making Memories Slice to cut out THANKS using the Words and Expressions disk. Did you know that A Crafty Place sells Slice products too? They have quite a selection to whet your appetite too. You can find them HERE. I embossed the label that I had cut using my Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder (also found in the store right HERE!).

7. Here you can see how I folded the entire thing together to make a card of sorts. The inside reads: TEACHERS PLANT SEEDS OF GREATNESS!. I added some twine to tied the cards up.

8. Here is the finished product complete with my all time favorite DEW DROPS. A Crafty Place sells these too! They are the best added dimensionals for any project and come in so many fun colors! You can find a large selection HERE.

VOILA! You are complete! The total time for all of these to be done was ONE HOUR!
EASY PEASY!
We would love to see your versions of the seed packets so why don't you try it out and show us what you make!
Thank you for looking and happy scrapping!

Tricia these are wonderful and I'm so glad you could fit us into your super busy schedule.
Many thanks to your for such a fantastic tutorial. Please be sure to leave some love for Tricia here and on her personal blog too at: Tricia's Treasures.
